I am delighted and honored to be joining the Honeoye Community as School Superintendent.  During the past months, it has been my pleasure to interact with the Board of Education who has worked through the extensive hiring process while representing the community and the students of Honeoye Central School District to the highest level. During meetings with community members, faculty, and staff, there was a constant focus on commitment to student success through all discussions. Truly, this is an environment of standards and expectations of the highest level for our students.

My experiences prior to my arrival in Honeoye are filled with wonderful memories. My career began over 20 years ago with the Victor Central School District. As a high school teacher of instrumental music, I worked with dedicated students and parents within a growing and successful program that performed locally and on the national scene. My journey transitioned to administration, where it has been exciting to work with children, parents, and teachers through all grade levels. Following an administrative role within Victor Schools, I was named Ontario Elementary School Principal in the Wayne Central School District. Most recently, my 9 years of service has been in Monroe County to the children of the West Irondequoit Central School District as Principal. The commitment to education and students has been part of each of these varied experiences.

It has already been my good fortune to meet many of you at the early stages of transition. You have made me feel welcome and supported. Please be sure to introduce yourself to me as we see each other at a variety of school and community functions.  IÕm anxious to meet you and look forward to our work together.

Sincerely,

David C. Bills
