School Island is now Castle Learning Online Halloween Library Lunch 
(click image for more pictures) An open invitation was extended to all students to attend a series of daily readings of "Horror Tales" held in the library during lunch time. Students brought their lunch, relaxed, and were scared witless by a different reading by a different faculty member everyday. Our Principal Mike Mead brought the week to a close with his spine tingling rendition of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado"!!!! Mr. Pratt's Sixth grade science classes used some Engineering skills to build towers. We tested these towers on an Earthquake simulator. This was a great learning experience and a lot of fun too. 
For the last week students in grades 6-12 have been celebrating National Foreign Language Week. The week ended with a food tasting 9th period. Students had the chance to eat crêpes, croque-monsieurs, quesadillas and tortilla espanola. Other activities included locker decorating, questions of the day, wearing different countries' colors and a poster contest. Everyone had a lot of fun. Magnifique!! Fantastico!!
