From Coach Stewart, "We went to Nazareth College on Friday night for the Wayne Finger Lakes Division 1 and Division 2 Championships. 26 total schools. The kids did great. Highlights below if you can spread the word! It's very impressive to win at this level."

Danny Gawel broke the school record in the boys' 300-meter dash, beating HIS OWN record of 38.40 with a quick 38.32, placing 3rd overall. He also finished 4th overall in the boy's weight throw with a PR of 48 feet 10 inches.

Alyssa Bailey won the girls' pole vault with her personal best of 7 feet 9 inches. She also ran a PR in the 55-meter hurdles.

Henry Sherman also won the boy's weight throw on his last throw of 50 feet 1 inch. Henry also completed his night, placing in the TOP 8 of both long jump and triple jump!

Herculean Hennry is BACK AT IT!
Honeoye Athletics has its very own HERCULES!! Henry Sherman has done it again- breaking TWO different school records- TWICE in one day!

Henry smashed his current weight throw record by over 6 feet. His previous record of 51 feet was crushed when he threw 57 feet 8.5 inches. This mark places him first in our sectional class by over 15 feet and 4th overall in all Section Five.

Herculean Henry ALSO shattered an 8-year-old record in the triple jump by almost a foot. #1 in our Sectional class by nearly three feet heading into the Divisional meet.
Coach Moran said it best-"What this kid is doing right now is special and unprecedented in our track program’s history."

Congratulations Henry!! Keep up your Herculean efforts!
