Elementary Supply List 2008-2009

The following is a list of the personal supplies or desk items your child/ren will need for school.

CONSUMABLE SUPPLIES NEED TO BE REPLENISHED AS NEEDED.

ALL GRADE LEVELS – Please bring a backpack, art shirt/smock and sneakers for physical education.

Grade 1: Headphones for computer, 30+ sharpened pencils with erasers, a large eraser, a covered pencil sharpener (to catch shavings), a box of 24 crayons individually labeled with initials, a package of sharpened colored pencils, 2 highlighters (one thick, one thin) a 12 pack of large water color markers, a pair of kids Fiskars scissors, 2, 4 oz. bottles of glue, 4 glue sticks, a container of disinfecting wipes, 4 pocket folders – red, blue, green and yellow, package of assorted colored 3x5 index cards, 3 dry erase markers (a n color) and an old, clean sock, a box of Kleenex, boys - a box of quart size Ziploc “One Zip storage bags, girls – a box of gallon size Ziploc “One Zip” storage bags, an empty M&M Minis container filled with 20 pennies, 5 nickels, 10 dimes and 4 quarters. This money will be returned to you at the end of the school year. Please do not send in the following items: Shoeboxes, pencil boxes, large notebooks, colored glue or backpacks on wheels.

Grade 2: Three 10+ packages of #2 pencils with erasers, a box of at least 24 (or more) crayons, a set of markers, scissors, 3 large erasers, 4 glue sticks, 2 pocket folders, 2 boxes of Kleenex. Also, Miss Militello & Mrs. Cornish: dry erase markers, highlighters and a small container for the supplies. NO LARGE NOTEBOOKS OR TRAPPER KEEPERS. Mrs. Cornish requires a composition notebook.

Mrs. Fisher requires highlighters, box of colored pencils (no Kleenex) and $1 for Walmart shoe box.

Grade 3: Three 10+ packages of #2 sharpened pencils with erasers, a hand-held pencil sharpener (NOT battery operated), a box of crayons, a package of colored pencils, a package of markers, scissors, 6 white glue sticks, lined loose leaf paper, 2 composition notebooks (please, NO wire-bound or perforated page notebooks and NO large notebooks or trapper keepers), 2 red pens, 2 highlighters of different colors, 6 pocket folders (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange), a pencil box, zip lock bags (Girls/gallons and boys/quarts), and 2 boxes of Kleenex. Also, Mrs. Wolcott: an additional composition notebook. Ms. Nourse requires a yellow pocket folder for Health class.

Grade 4: Three 10+ packages of #2 pencils with erasers, one large eraser, hand held pencil sharpener, 2 highlighters, 2 red pens, crayons and/or colored pencils, markers, 4 glue sticks, 6 pocket folders (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange), one 1-inch 3-ring binder with dividers, 2 packs of lined loose leaf paper, 2 composition books, 2, 100-pack 3x5 index cards, a centimeter/inch ruler, scissors, 2 boxes Kleenex, dry erase markers (except for Mrs. DeYoung’s class). Ms. Nourse requires a red pocket folder for Health class.

Grade 5: Four packages No. 2 pencils, extra cap erasers, 4 packages lined notebook paper, 10 black and/or blue pens, colored pencils, 3 highlighters (different colors), 6 glue sticks, a centimeter/inch ruler, scissors, an expandable plastic folder, 6 pocket folders with center clasps (red, yellow, green, blue, purple, orange), 2 additional folders (any other color), a composition notebook, 1 can tennis balls (except for Mrs. Orman’s class, 3 boxes Kleenex, 1 box Ziploc bags (girls-gallon; boys-quart), 4 packs lined 3x5 index cards, (crayons & markers), one supply case or bag (NO large notebooks or trapper keepers). Also, Mrs. Hogg’s class: a small dry erase board and markers. Ms. Nourse requires a green pocket folder for Health class.
