General Information: As part of the CORAL Tech program students will know - Proper use of machines classroom rules safety rules and regulations for the machines
- The importance of brainstorming ideas, determining feasability in terms of time and resources, creating isometric/orthographic renderings, gathering appropriate materials, and producing prototypes for analysis by group.
- The importance of developing a production line during which students work cooperatively in assembling chosen product(s). Students will also be exposed to marketing/advertising concepts as they begin their culminating sales event.
- The Honeoye community through the acquisition of various contract projects undertaken with community organizations. Projects will be planned as needed by various community parties, and will be by and large woodworking projects.
Student Information: Students need to exhibit competencies in drawing for production, working as a cooperative group, problem solving, budgeting for and purchasing materials, linear measurement, competence in working with necessary equipment such as power tools, painting/finishing techniques, money handling skills. Students will plan, design, and manufacture a variety of projects for sale in the Honeoye school community. The Benches - 2011 Spring Project These well built benches have been made by the Honeoye Central School C.O.R.A.L. Program under the supervision of Mr. Young and Mr. Stewart. This project was originally begun as a project for the School Administration and now the students are making them available to the public. The benches are 5 feet long, 15" wide and stand 19" high. They are made from grade A Red Oak, stained in golden oak, and supported by steel legs. Don’t miss out on this chance to own a quality bench made with care and concern by the C.O.R.A.L. students at Honeoye Central School.
