Director of Pupil Personnel Services

The Department of Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) is dedicated and committed to meeting the diverse needs of our students including their academic, social, emotional and physical needs.  Honeoye Central School District strives to provide appropriate educational programs and services.  In order to meet each student's individual needs and ensure success in their educational program, the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) are responsible for recommendations regarding the identification, evaluation and programming for children who require special education services.

The Department of PPS impacts the social, emotional, physical and educational components of each child's education in the Honeoye Central School District. The Department is responsible for:

• Coordinates tutorial services for students who legally are unable to attend school
• Supervises the implementation of the Section 504 process
• Coordinates the District screening program for new students entering the school system
• Ensures the implementation of the Part 200 Regulations of the Commissioner of Education for all students with disabilities
