Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, students must complete a series of course, credit, and testing mandates set by the New York State Education Department. Recent changes in New York State’s requirements have been phased in based upon a student’s graduation year. Specific requirements are published in the Counseling Center’s Curriculum Guide and Course Descriptions.

Students who have completed these requirements by June receive June diplomas and are eligible to participate in that June’s commencement ceremony. Those who complete the requirements in August or January receive the appropriate diploma and are welcome to participate in the ceremony the following June. Only students who have already completed all requirements may participate in the commencement ceremony.
