Ms. Elizabeth (Bridget) Ashton as the next Honeoye Superintendent of Schools effective January 1.

On behalf of the Board of Education, I’m pleased to announce Ms. Elizabeth (Bridget) Ashton as the next Honeoye Superintendent of Schools. Ms. Ashton will be appointed at the November 13, 2019 Board of Education meeting pending contract negotiations. Her contract begins January 1, 2020.

 

Ashton joins the Honeoye CSD from Naples School District, where she currently holds the position of High School Principal.  Previously, Ashton was employed as an administrator in Wheatland-Chili CSD and a teacher in the Rush-Henrietta School District.

 

Ashton received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Elementary Education from SUNY Geneseo.  She completed her Certificate of Advanced Study in Administration from SUNY Brockport.  Ashton also participated in the Superintendent Development Program through SUNY Oswego. 

 

“I could not be more excited or proud to have the opportunity to serve the Honeoye CSD learning community,” stated Ms. Ashton. “I feel confident that my passion and commitment to public education will compliment the incredible work already being accomplished in the district, and I look forward to collaboration with district faculty, staff, the Board of Education, students and the community to build on the Bulldog tradition of excellence and student achievement.“
