Thank you for taking the time to visit
the Elementary Webpage and the Principal's Page.
Dear Honeoye Families,
Welcome to a new school year - 180 school days filled with endless opportunities for learning, growing, building relationships and challenging yourself to be the best YOU there is!  I am very excited to serve as your new principal and look forward to meeting each and every one of you as we partner for the best educational experience for your child.
As an elementary classroom teacher for 19 years, both as a special education and general education teacher, I understand the unique talents and needs of each unique child.  Previously I was an assistant principal for three years for the Geneva City School District (2014-2017) before joining the Honeoye CSD as the Director of Pupil Personnel Services for the past two years (2017-2019).  For me, the elementary school feels like "coming home" - it is truly my passion.
I invite you to join your K-5 child/children on Wednesday, September 4th for a fun photo opportunity with our PBIS League of Superheroes.  PBIS, Positive Behavior Intervention Supports, is our school wide character education program; you likely know this as the Bulldog Four.  The PBIS team has worked hard all summer to plan an engaging and heroic year of activities, assemblies and incentives to help all students grow in social-emotional skills that translate to conflict resolution, self-regulation, tolerance of differences and a desire to do their best for the collective greater good; citizens of the world.
I am pleased to welcome to our ES faculty and staff:
  • Lindsay Futter - UPK Teacher
  • Pamela Johnstone - UPK Teaching Assistant (TA)
  • Jennifer Covey - 1st Grade Teacher
  • Kari Clements - 3rd Grade Special Education Teacher
  • Jennifer Stover - 3rd Grade Teacher
  • Shanna Butler - 3rd Grade TA
  • Alexa Cooley - 4th Grade TA
  • Rachael Davis - School Psychologist Intern
Your elementary staff has put in countless hours this summer in order to provide your child with the best start to the school year; lessons, classroom decor, team building and more! In addition, teachers have spent time writing curriculum, training on the Next Generation Learning Standards, training in MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) for social-emotional learning, and pouring over data for instructional programming.  Whew, It has been a busy summer!
Again, WELCOME to the 2019-2020 school year - we're glad you're here!
