Understanding and Maximizing Building Aid: 1/3/2024 Presentation

The Honeoye Central School District invited Sarah Bradshaw, Vice President of Bernard P. Donegan, Inc. (district financial consulting advisors) to cofacilitate a presentation with HCS Business Official, Mike Bastian, on Understanding and Maximizing Building Aid during a Regular Meeting of Board of Education on January 4, 2024. Their presentation outlined the following information for the HCS Board of Education and meeting attendees:

• What is building aid? What is the utility/function of building aid?
• How/why should school districts maximize building aid for capital improvement?
• How does completion/repair of items identified as deficient in Building Condition Survey using general budget funds impact eligibility for building aid?
