Raptor Technologies Update Raptor Technologies recently found and disclosed a vulnerability involving certain cloud-hosted data repositories. On January 10, 2024, the HCS Technology Department received an email from Raptor Technologies informing us of this issue and providing a list of data repositories impacted. Our Director of Technology and Student Learning, Ms. Asquino, reviewed our Raptor subscription against this list of data repositories. In this review she found that the Honeoye Central School District does not maintain these data types in Raptor Technologies. No student data, student reports, or emergency plans are stored in our Raptor domain. Additionally, Ms. Asquino contacted Raptor Technologies on 1/11 to verify that all HCS data was secure. In their response, Raptor Technologies stated: “We have reviewed your Raptor system and have confirmed that you do not use the Raptor Link service or any of the document upload functionality impacted by this vulnerability. We can confirm at this time that your district’s data was not impacted by this vulnerability.” The Honeoye Central School District takes data privacy and security very seriously and we continually monitor our internal practices and those of our vendors.
