If you are interested in becoming a candidate for a seat on the Honeoye Board of Education, we hope this fact sheet will inform and assist you in the process. Elections will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6:00 am-9:00 pm, at the Honeoye Central School. Each of the three (3) candidates, who receive the greatest number of votes, will serve a threeyear term beginning July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021. Board members whose terms are expiring this year are: Andrea Badger Patrick Freivald Keith Stumbo The District Clerk must receive petitions no later than 5:00 pm, on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the District Office located at 8528 Main St, Honeoye, NY. Petitions must bear signatures of at least 25 voters eligible to vote in the Honeoye election on May 15, 2018. A voter may sign petitions for more than one candidate. To be an eligible voter, an individual must be: 1. a US citizen 2. at least 18 years of age 3. a resident of the school district 30 days or more prior to the May 15, 2018. The Four County School Boards Association is sponsoring a “Seminar for Prospective School Board Members” on March 17, 2018. You may wish to attend this program.
