Volunteers

Volunteers are an invaluable resource to a school district. Volunteers contribute to the attainment of the purpose of our organization - the success of ALL students.

Per BOE Policy 3150, volunteers at HCS are “persons willing to donate their time and energies to assist principals, teachers and other school personnel in implementing various pages of school programs.”

Volunteers may be utilized to assist classroom teachers by providing extra help for students, creating displays or bulletin boards, reading to children, or to support major projects. Volunteers are also an invaluable support when they serve as chaperones on field trips.

If you are interested in serving as a volunteer for the Honeoye Central School District, please complete the appropriate Volunteer Application form and return it in person to the Elementary or Secondary Main Office.

Per BOE Policy, only those volunteers approved and included on the district’s list of approved volunteers may work in the district. The Superintendent retains the right to approve or reject any volunteer applications submitted for consideration.
  • Approved volunteers may opt out of volunteer service at any time.
  • Approved volunteers continue from year to year unless the district receives written communication to the contrary from said volunteer.

Please Note: Volunteers must provide identification and receive security clearance via the Raptor integrated security and safety software system utilized by the district.
