The HCS Board of Education adopted the below 2024-25 Goals during a Regular Meeting of the Board on November 20, 2024:

2024-2025 Board of Education Goals

    • The Board will advocate for and encourage the seeking of opportunities that support students, teachers, and educational leaders.
    • The Board will focus on supporting the curriculum and celebrating the graduation of students.
    • The Board will participate in tours of the elementary school, and of the high school in February - March of 2025.
    • The Board will increase the number of presentations regarding student programs, extra-curriculars, services, and activities through the implementation of a presentation calendar.
    • The Board will support and and uphold the fostering of a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
    • The Board will review data and monitor academic progress at the mid-year point and end of the year.

    • The Board will host a multi-district retreat to partake in collaboration and conversation with local Boards of Education.
    • The Board will participate in district events on campus.
    • The Board will participate in events outside of and within the community

    • The Board will learn the recording procedure.
    • The Board will facilitate the recording of meetings and uploading to the proper destination.
    • The Board will monitor the number of views for recordings.
    • The Board will poll the community in May/June in order to make a decision prior to the July 2024 Reorganizational Meeting about continuing to record or dissolve the recording process.
